N:Vibe Entertainment Ltd BEST WISHES MESSAGES "I would like to congratulate and commend the Myanmar-Burma Relief & Welfare Association for undertaking this timely humanitarian effort to assist those affected by the Cyclone Nargis disaster. This fundraising event is Myanmar-Burma Relief & Welfare Association's continuing endeavours to assist children, including children orphaned by the cyclone disaster and traumatised households still living under make-shift shelters and desperate for food and means of livelihood. I am most pleased to send my best wishes and support to Myanmar-Burma Relief & Welfare Association for organising this worthwhile and purposeful event". Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP
“Dear Friends I am truly sorry that I am not able to join you tonight for what I’m sure will be a wonderful evening. I know that over the last seven years the Myanmar/Burma Relief and Welfare Association has provided invaluable support to the Burmese Diaspora here in the UK, providing help and guidance in the fields of education, employment, housing and family services. But I also know that the value of this work is greater than the sum of its parts, because through its activities the MBRWA does not only help individuals and families to flourish; it also serves to promote the kind of friendship and solidarity that enables the wider community to thrive and prosper. Never has this been in greater evidence than in the past few months, when members of the Burmese community in the UK have come together to aid the victims of the devastating cyclone that hit Burma in May this year. A number of people have flown out to Burma to participate in reconstruction and as a result of your kind donations the MBRWA has been able to contribute towards providing clean water and other items vital to the relief effort. A great deal of work has gone into organising the event tonight in order raise additional funds for those affected by the cyclone. I want to congratulate the MBRWA for the contribution it has made to the relief effort and for the work it continues to do on behalf of the Burmese community in the UK, and I only wish I could be there to convey my support and admiration in person. Enjoy the rest of the night.” Rt Hon Barry Gardiner MP
