Annual General Meeting - 2006

The Annual General meeting of M.B.R.W.A was held on 28th January 2007 at "The Boardroom" APDA who kindly allowed the use of its facilities for MBRWA.

The Meeting introduced by our Chair Person, M. Jeewa, was well attended with guest speakers  Neera Lakhmana, CEMVO, and Joginder Kundhi, APDA providing advice and insight from their own experiences to what they feel takes to build a successful Organisation. (Pic. F)

It was reported that 2006 was a productive year for our Organisation with funding for 2 project bids accepted and several outreach visits made throughout the year. As more people have become aware of MBRWA, the Organisation has been able to recruit more Burmese people for its management committee, its sub-committees and forums.

Due to the success of our funding bids, we were able to provide a donation to APDA for their kind hospitality in allowing MBRWA to use it's office space in Alperton, Wembley. Our Treasurer, Ms. Issace, presented a cheque to the two Treasurers of APDA, Jyoti Raja and Rehka Mehta (Pic. B).

Burmese & Thai Refreshments were served before the meeting, and the event was enjoyed by all.
